科学家对当前疫情期间使用电梯的建议

纽约时报近日发表一篇文章，文中针对如何回答“是否有可能在搭乘电梯时感染新冠病毒？”这个问题记录了有关专家的意见。其中弗吉尼亚科技大学气溶胶专家Dr. Linsey Marr，波特兰州立大学工程及计算机学院院长Dr. Richard L. Corsi和阿尔伯塔大学传染病助理教授Dr. Ilan Schwartz给出了如下建议：

避免与他人同时搭乘电梯；

在电梯内保持佩戴口罩，即使电梯内只有自己一人；

按电梯按钮后应避免用手摸脸；

出电梯后立即洗手；

如果无法避免与他人同乘电梯，必须在电梯内每个人都戴着口罩时才进入电梯。

SCIENTISTS ADVISE ON TODAY’S ELEVATOR USE

The New York Times recently posted an article in which experts weigh in on answers to “Can I Get Coronavirus From Riding an Elevator?” Virginia Tech aerosol scientist Dr. Linsey Marr, dean of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University Dr. Richard L. Corsi and assistant professor of infectious diseases at the University of Alberta Dr. Ilan Schwartz give advice including the following:

Avoid riding with another person.

Always wear a mask inside the elevator, even if you’re riding alone.

Avoid touching your face after touching elevator buttons.

Wash your hands afterward.

If you must ride with another person or two, don’t get in unless everyone inside is wearing a mask.
