据报道，土耳其安卡拉政府在市内的人行天桥和地下通道安装了监控摄像头，以监控机动车和行人安全同行。而这类监控摄像头也安装在了电梯和自动扶梯设备附近，以减少人为恶意毁坏设备的情况，同时也便于当局观察电梯设备的运行情况。摄像视频由“远程自动化检测中心”每天24小时不间断监控。在发生电梯困人事件时，中心工作人员可以立即发现并与被困人员联系。

ANKARA CAMERAS MonITOR OVER/UNDERPASSES AND RELATED VT

City officials in Ankara, Turkey, have added surveillance cameras to underpasses and overpasses to provide safe and uninterrupted transportation for both motorists and pedestrians, Railly News reports. Among other locations, the cameras have been placed near escalators and elevators to cut down on vandalism and help authorities monitor the operation of the vertical-transportation (VT) units. The video feeds from the cameras are monitored 24/7 at a "Remote Monitoring Automation Center." The system will also allow monitoring center personnel to communicate with elevator riders in the event of an entrapment.
