据商业标准报的报道，通力电梯（印度）公司在钦奈附近的新制造工厂正式开业。该新工厂耗资45亿印度卢比（约合6340万美元），占地50000平方米，是当地最大的工厂，而且配有最先进的科技设备，可以大大提高了通力电梯公司生产质量，缩短了产品交付时间。新工厂计划招聘约600人，产品主要面对印度市场（印度是目前仅次于中国的全球第二大市场），同时支持出口尼泊尔、不丹、孟加拉和斯里兰卡等邻近国家。

KONE OPENS NEW FACILITY IN CHENNAI

KONE Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. inaugurated a new manufacturing facility near Chennai, India, Business Standard reports. The INR4.5-billion (US$63.4-million) facility is the largest in the region at 50,000 m2. The factory is equipped with the latest technology to help KONE improve product quality and delivery time. The new plant, which will employ about 600 people, will mainly focus on the Indian market (the second-largest for the company, behind China), but will also export to neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
