SEMATIC RE INDIA LIFT DOORS OBTAIN FIRE RESISTANCE CERTIFICATION FOR THE LOCAL MARKET: On February 8, Sematic 2000 B-HR lift doors, entirely manufactured in India, have been one of the first products fire tested in accordance with the Standard IS 3614 (part 2). The test was performed at the local Institute of Technology in Roorkee, the oldest technical institution of India. Sematic RE Doors fully passed the test and were classified FD 60. The Indian elevator market is steadily improving its overall performances thanks also to the introduction of higher safety and quality standards, including one-hour fire certification, as per IS 3614, for all the Lift doors installed in Indian buildings that will soon become mandatory in the country. Fire certifications, like the one Sematic RE gained, aim to guarantee the supply to the Indian customers with quality elevator components that help reducing the risks associated to fire and gases propagation into the elevator shaft of residential and commercial buildings.
