据ENR Mountain States山地诸州媒体报道，蒂森克虏伯电梯公司参与的富兰克林医疗办公楼扩建工程占地1125平方英尺，在近日获得了ENR Mountain States颁发的小而佳项目奖（Merit Small Project），该奖项是为耗子1000万美元的项目而设的。作为凯撒医疗集团在第二十大街的医疗机构之一，该建筑已经开展了长达20年的翻新和维护。而最近的问题在于办公楼内的三台电梯无法满足客流量需求，也放不下医疗担架。为解决这类问题，并未新增的蒂森克虏伯电梯提供空间，工程总承包商Adolfson & Peterson公司吊起了原有的部分地基支架，延长了电梯厅层的楼板，并移动新的外墙来做出一个新的电梯厅层。
THYSSENKRUPP ELEVATOR PROJECT WINS AWARD IN DENVER
A project involving the addition of a 1,125-ft2 thyssenkrupp elevator to the Franklin Medical Office Building in Denver was recently honored with the Merit Small Project award by ENR Mountain States for projects under US$10 million, ENR Mountain States reports. Part of Kaiser Permanente’s 20th Avenue Medical Campus, the building has been under renovation for more than 20 years. The most recent challenge the Franklin building faced was that its three elevators were unable to keep up with demand and inadequate to hold stretchers. To address these shortfalls and make way for the new thyssenkrupp elevator, general contractor Adolfson & Peterson craned a partially cantilevered foundation into place, extended the elevator lobby floor slabs and moved an exterior wall to create new elevator lobbies.
